Last updated October 31, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Well Placed Real Estate (“Well Placed”, “I”, “me” or “my”) collects through wellplacedrealestate.co (the “Site”), why I collect it, and the choices you have. I keep it short and plain on purpose. I only collect what I need to run the business and help you.
1. Who I am
Well Placed Real Estate is an independent research and decision-support business based in British Columbia, Canada. I am responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach me at hello@wellplacedrealestate.co
2. What I collect
Information you give me.
- Email signup. When you sign up for the free LOCATION Framework or my emails, I collect your email address.
- Contact and inquiry forms. When you send me a message, I collect what you choose to include, such as your name, email address and details about the property or market you are considering.
- Booking a call. If you book a free consultation, the scheduling tool collects your name, email address and chosen time.
- Purchases. If you buy a paid resource, a third-party payment provider collects your payment details and billing information. I do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site records basic technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the page that referred you (for example, Instagram or Pinterest). This comes from standard site analytics and cookies.
Please do not send me sensitive information such as government ID numbers, banking details or passwords through the forms or by email.
3. How I use it
- To send you the resources you asked for, such as the LOCATION Framework and Worksheet or the Due Diligence Checklist.
- To reply to your questions and arrange consultations or custom services.
- To send you emails about real estate research, new resources and my services, if you have signed up to receive them.
- To understand how the Site is used and to improve it, including which channels bring visitors.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent spam and meet legal obligations.
I do not sell your personal information.
4. Emails and your consent
I only send marketing emails to people who have signed up or otherwise given consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also email me and I will remove you. Emails are sent through Kit (kit.com).
5. Who I share information with
I share information only with service providers who help me run the Site and the business, and only as needed for them to do their job. These include:
- Website hosting, security, analytics and form handling (WordPress and Jetpack, provided by Automattic).
- Email list management and sending (Kit).
- Scheduling of consultations (Calendly).
- Payment processing for paid resources.
These providers have their own privacy policies and may store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. The Site and the tools it uses may set cookies to make forms work, keep the Site secure and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site may not work as expected if you block all of them.
7. Social media and other sites
I share content on platforms such as Instagram and Pinterest. When you follow a link from one of those platforms to the Site, that platform’s own privacy policy applies to what it collects. The Site also links to other websites. I am not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
8. How long I keep information
I keep personal information only as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. Email subscribers stay on my list until they unsubscribe. Inquiry messages are kept for as long as they are useful for following up and for my records, then deleted.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask me to tell you what personal information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA, British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR or California privacy law. To make a request, email hello@wellplacedrealestate.co. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact your local privacy regulator.
10. Security
I use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or email service is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults making property decisions. It is not directed to children under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If I make a significant change, I will tell you by updating the Site or by email.
